Life is short when time is money, probably because money is the root of all evil or maybe because money makes money. I don’t know. Yet, it is good to keep in mind that the best things in life are free. Thus, it’s high time to seize the day and feel the taste of life. You know they say life tastes good.
Time has wings. Riches have wings. Why doesn’t life have wings? Or maybe it does. It’s just we let the bird in the hand fly away and are looking for those two in the bush. It’s true that birds of a feather flock together, but, unfortunately, we forget that time flies, while money doesn’t grow on trees. Besides, you can’t always get what you want. It’s true that it might happen that you miraculously manage to catch the tail of at least one of them. Yet, soon you exclaim: ‘Easy come, easy go,’ looking helplessly at the light feather clutched between your fingers.
So it’s good to understand, better late than never, that there is no time like the present. It is also true that good things come to those who wait. But who keeps you from waiting, and living life to the fullest at the same time? It’s all up to you, it’s as simple as that or, if you prefer, as easy as pie.
And, as a conclusion, I’d like to cite W. H. Davies’ lines: ‘What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare?’
Tick tock 🙂
